Cotter Pins for Prop Shafts

Stainless Steel Cotter Pins - 1/8" to 3/8" for SAE Propeller Shafts.

Pins shipped will meet the minimum SAE length, however in some cases pins may be a little longer.

These stainless steel cotter pins are designed for use with SAE inboard propeller shafts, securing the castle nut and preventing rotation once proper torque is applied. They are an essential safety component in shaft-drive propulsion systems. Manufactured from marine-grade stainless steel, these cotter pins offer excellent corrosion resistance in both freshwater and saltwater environments. They are suitable for use with bronze castle nuts and stainless or monel propeller shafts.

Cotter pins are available in sizes ranging from 1/8″ to 3/8″, covering common SAE propeller shaft diameters. Pins shipped will meet the minimum SAE length requirement; in some cases, pins may be slightly longer to ensure proper engagement through the shaft and castle nut. Excess length can be trimmed during installation if required.
